Our school serves approximately 500 Tillamook School District students in grades 4-6. We are located in the heart of Tillamook County, an area surrounded by dairy farm fields, lush mountains, and the beautiful Oregon Coast. We believe that our community is integral to our students' learning experience, and we seek to provide outdoor educational opportunities as well as partnerships with local agencies and organizations as often as possible. School is an important part of students' lives, which is why we aim to provide the best education possible, focusing on the academic and social development of our students.
We have 19 classroom teachers with about 22 students per classroom. Additionally, there is one classroom at each level that is the dual-language model. East is a school-wide Title I building; we receive federal funding for services designed to provide all students with a well-rounded education. Additionally, we provide our students qualifying for English Language Development and special education the necessary supports based on their individualized areas of need. Our counselor and Dean of Students are both here to help with guidance in personal safety, building healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and many other developmentally appropriate skills our students need.
We are committed to our students and families, and we are committed to excellence.
